Rally Day is this Sunday (September 10)! Join us in the Parish Hall for a Pot Luck Lunch and to learn about all of our Fall ministries and about how you can get involved.

Bring a covered dish to share!

Here are a few of the exciting ministries we have starting up this Sunday:

Little Lambs: Little Lambs is our children’s Liturgy of the Word. During our 10:30 service, as we begin to sing the “Gloria,” the children will follow their own cross in a procession to the Children's Chapel in the Parish Hall. There, they will celebrate a child-friendly version of the same service the adults experience. After the sermon, during the offertory and announcements, the children rejoin their parents in the pews for Communion.

Children's Sunday School: Children’s Sunday School this Fall will be meeting in the lower level of the Parish Hall. Ages 0-3 will be with Ms. Kimberley in the nursery, ages 3-6 and 6-9 will be doing Catechesis of the Good Shepherd with Ms. Amy and ages 9-12 will be with Ms. Alys.

Adult Sunday School: We will be having two adult Sunday school classes this Fall. Randy Rogers, a postulant in the Diocese of Fort Worth, will be teaching a Bible Survey class in the parlor, and Fr. Brian will be continuing his class on the Anglican Formularies in the Parish Hall.

Generations: Generations is our primary engine for discipleship at Church of the Good Shepherd, offered every Wednesday night, giving young and old alike an opportunity to develop close friendships, grow spiritually, connect with our Anglican traditions, and reach out in service to our community. Our first Generations will be a Choral Evensong on Wednesday, September 13, at 6:00 in the evening.

Care Ministries: On top of all of these, we have many other ways to get involved, whether you want to sing in the choir, or serving with the MOGS or with the APODS, or helping on Sundays with the Ushers or Acolytes, or volunteering with our Children's Ministries, or making a dinner for a family in need with our Parish Ministries. Come to our Rally Day lunch to learn all about how you can get involved.
