2016 Christmas Caroling Successful

The trolley could not hold them all!  So we had a caravan of cars following us on the routes to House of Hope, Presbyterian Manor, The Advanced Rehabilitation Center and a countryside stop at the Gail & Bob's home. Over 42 carolers were involved this year, breaking an all time record for a decade or more of using the city’s trolley for our “wheels”.

We sure would like to thank the chili-makers, Helen, Tracy, Linda and Pat, plus numerous others who provided delicious cookies, cornbread and chips.

Kids and adults feasted on the hot meal after surviving one of the coldest Christmas caroling ministries in recent memory! We especially appreciated the crew that helped decorate the main church afterwards while a clean-up group handled the kitchen and parlor take-down. All in all, the essential spirit of Christmas blessing was in everyone’s heart as we tried to make Christ’s light shine, singing together some familiar hymns and carols for others in our local community who were less fortunate.
