Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-based approach to the spiritual formation of children. At Church of the Good Shepherd, we believe that children can have an active and meaningful relationship with God, and we seek to create an environment in which the child can foster that relationship with God and fall in love with the deepest mysteries of the faith. The environment and the materials within it are called the atrium. The atrium is a place of quiet contemplation for the child, and the materials are a means of prayer and meditation. Each of our catechists have received at least 90 hours of formation and are certified by the United States Association of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.

We believe that there is no better approach to the spiritual formation of children, which is why we have dedicated so much to this ministry and want to make it available to as many children in Wichita Falls as possible. Our Atria are open every Sunday morning from 9:30 to 11:15 and every Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 during the school-year. If you are interested, or would like to take a tour of our atrium, please contact us.
