Practicum on Christian Prayer

Generations provides an opportunity for spiritual growth and development for everyone—ages 1-100. We eat together. We pray together. We contemplate God's love together. We care for one another and for our community. Generations takes place every Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 in the Parish Hall (entrance off of 10th St). All are welcome!

This Fall, Generations will be offering a Practicum on Christian Prayer and Meditation. The scriptures encourage us quite often to “pray always,” but most of us can’t imagine how we could, or why we would want to do such a thing. Too often we think that prayer is just “asking for things,” causing many Christians to seek for a meaningful inner life from other sources, not realizing the riches that the ancient Christian spiritual tradition has to offer. At Generations this year, we will provide not only the “why,” but also the “how” of Christian prayer.
